A Visible Monday, A Monday Mingle, and A Giveaway Winner

I am so excited to announce the winner of my giveaway! Kiah of From the Rez to the City is the winner of the Elizabeth Taylor for Avon necklace. Kiah it will look so beautiful on you! If you haven't visited Kiah's blog, please visit From the Rez to the City. Kiah has amazing style and is a wonderful person too!

Today I am linking up with Patti of Not Dead Yet Style for Visible Monday and MomTrends for Monday Mingle. My outfit for today is a combination of bright and deep colors. The pants are the bright blue ones that I bought at Lane Bryant. I realized after wearing them that they are not denim, but instead a twill fabric that wrinkles quite a lot. I sure hope they wash up well. I haven't had a iron in my hand since I retired. I don't even know if it works any more.

Jacket: Chico's
Top and Pants: Lane Bryant
Shoes: Sheri Poe via HSN

This pose is actually a lot like the real me. I am always pushing up my glasses.
Bracelets Top to Bottom:
Large enamel bangle on top: Talbot's
3 Ric Rack bangles: Kate Spade
Bottom Bracelet: Vintage from 60's
Nail Polish: Zoya Ibiza topped with Lynnderella Shape Shifter
My husband was informed that he has to go to third shift this month. That means my photographer will be MIA a lot. I am hoping to still have photos that feature outfits I am wearing, but if not, it will give me the opportunity to do some outfit/accessory styling on a dressform. That can be fun too as it will allow me to do multiple stylings of the same outfit with different accessories.

Does the change the daylight saving time affect you? It sure does me. I have a hard time adjusting to losing an hour. I will have to set the alarm this week to make sure I can make it to my yoga class on time. I wish they would just leave the darn time alone!

Please visit Visible Monday and Monday Mingle to see what everyone is wearing this week.

  1. Blue is your color! I really like this outfit on you. And your shoes are so cute!

The time change is annoying. I was off all day yesterday - not sure when to eat, when to go to bed. None of it seemed natural! I wish we could all follow Arizona and Hawaii and just keep time the same year-round.

    Have fun at yoga!

  3. You look so cute in all of this blue. I love those shoes! So excited that I won that super dope necklace! I can't wait to get it and rock it! I am from Arizona where the time never changes so it is surely an adjustment being here in Texas. I missed church yesterday because I didn't set my alarm. Usually my body just wakes up an hour before church naturally but with the time change that was an hour later!! eeek!! lol Kiah

  4. Omg, I am so in love with this outfit. The bright pants are fantastic, I love all the accessories meshing perfectly. Those shoes! I have been obsessed with strappy flats, and those are like the holy grail of flats. Adorable. I love your boldness, Debbi! It seriously rocks my socks.

  5. You know that I love the color in the pants and the shirt soooo much.

The one issue I have is that it reminds me a little tiny bit of scrubs that you see RNs wearing. Absolutely no long necklaces with this, anything that hints at an ID badge would be too much!

  6. Oh my goodness, YES! This time change has definitely thrown me off. I don't remember feeling so out of sorts in years past. I ADORE that vintage 60s bracelet! All of them actually, but the vintage one is just sooooo fabulous! Hugs pretty girl! ~Serene

  8. I hate the Spring version of daylight savings time; Fall isn't so bad. I think it's all kind of silly though. You look great and I love the subversive nail polish! I also have a dress form and hadn't thought about using it to post outfits. Hmmm. It might be good for my marriage.

  9. That vintage bracelet is beautiful! and I haven't had an iron in my hand in years either! I usually just throw things in the dryer for a few minutes and hope the wrinkles fall out!

  10. So your husband will be working at night? We have had spells of that in the past. A dress dummy will work just fine. And congratulations to Kiah--I haven't visited her blog in ages.

  11. The blue is great. And as usual you spice it up with nail polish and jewelry. I agree about daylight savings time! It takes me time to recover. So sorry to hear that your photographer won't be available as frequently. I would like to learn how to use a tripod, but haven't gotten there yet.

  16. Hi Debbie!

I love the combination of blues, so, so pretty
Yes the hour change affects me, do not sleep well at night, plus returning to work after 4.5 months is quite difficult!

    Take care!
